Rebuilding familiar applications is one of the fastest ways to improve as a developer. A WhatsApp clone exposes you to authentication, databases, media uploads, and responsive interfaces.
During this project, I implemented private chats, groups, reactions, pinned conversations, archived chats, media sharing, voice messages, and an AI assistant.
The biggest lesson was learning how to debug modern frameworks instead of simply copying tutorials. Technology evolves quickly, and understanding the concepts is much more valuable than memorizing code
